Pastor Lee BosoPastor Lee Boso has been the Family Life Pastor at New Baptist Church since 2016. Before that Lee served his home church of Summersville Baptist for 9 years. Lee got is start in full time ministry at the West Virginia Baptist Camp at Cowen serving as the Associate Director of Camping from 2004-2007. Lee moved a number of times during his childhood to different parts of West Virginia and North Carolina, but spent most of his formative years in Summersville, WV.

EducationLee received his Masters of Divinity from Palmer Theological Seminary in 2012. He earned a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration and Marketing from Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV in 2004. Lee was ordained as an American Baptist Pastor in 2008 at Summerville Baptist Church in Summersville, WV.
Lee has served as the President of the West Virginia Baptist Convention, President of the West Virginia Baptist Education Society, Director of High School 1 Camp at the West Virginia Baptist Camp, and enjoys volunteering with Fellowship of Christian Athletes, serving as a mentor to youth pastors and college students. |
Life CallLee felt God's call to ministry as a teenager and found opportunities to learn and grow in his leadership abilities and faith through programs like the Youth Leader Core, Youth Ministry Planning Team, College Ministry , and staff at Camp Cowen. Lee loves sharing the Good News of Jesus with people and engaging in the mission of the church that is seen in Matthew 28:19-20 to make disciples of all nations.
Lee met his wife, Carmen, while serving at the West Virginia Baptist Camp and after they got married the began the adventure of life and ministry together, seeking to open their home and lives to serving and loving others. They have two children, Nina and Brooks and in building a family have developed a passion for helping other families grow together in their knowledge of Jesus and to live out their faith and calling at home, school, work, or neighborhood. |
Joys
Lee enjoys being outside running, riding a bike, hiking, or playing with his kids. He and Carmen have undertaken a number of home remodel projects that have become fun ways to work, dream, and learn together as a family.
