Service to the Community
In the early stages of New Baptist's formation, our congregation decided that we would be a church in service to the community. We have striven to make both our facilities and ourselves available for community functions. In the short time we have been at our location. we have hosted an immunization clinic for the Health Department, a Red Cross blood drive, a contemporary christian rock concert, block parties and backpack giveaways, served as a cooling station during power outages and we are a designated disaster relief shelter. We provide space for the Cabell County Association of Retired School Employees to meet monthly, as well as space for the Continuing Education Alliance's monthly meetings. In 2012 we became the official home for the Kiwanis Club of East Huntington's Annual Pancake Festival. All of this is in addition to our other mission activities.
